Go Tell About the Mountains
Go tell about the mountains
Over the hills and everywhere
Go tell about the mountains
The mountain tops aint there
When I was a little child
I played in mountain streams
Now they’re filled with rubble
There go my childhood dreams
Go tell about the mountains
Over the hills and everywhere
Go tell about the mountains
They’re grubbing coal up there
When I was a little child
I swam in crystal lakes
Now they’re filled with toxic ash
I pray those dams don’t break
Go tell about the mountains
Over the hills and everywhere
Keep telling bout the mountains
Till everyone’s aware
Now I am an adult
My childhood dreams are gone
I still pray those dams don’t break
My children kept from harm
Go tell about the mountains
Over the hills and everywhere
Keep telling bout the mountains
Till everyone will care enough
To make it stop up there
